What a remarkable year it’s been for Perlo and our amazing team! Thanks to the dedication and passion of our people, there’s so much to celebrate. From festive holiday gatherings to significant project milestones and individual accomplishments, we’re proud to reflect on some of the highlights that made this year so special. Here are a few of our favorite moments:
This summer we worked with AGC and local teachers to showcase our jobsites and highlight the opportunities in the construction industry for students and young people.We were honored to receive several awards this year, including Healthiest Employers, 100 Best Companies, Fastest Growing Companies, Development of the Year, and more.A crew member works on the roof of the Chehalem Wine Tasting room; a new gem in the Willamette Valley wine scene. The Perlo Cares team helps the Chelsea Hicks Foundation organize costumes for children in local hospitals days before Halloween.Perlo employees helps the Ness Campbell team unload a large donation for our Perlo Cares Coat & Toy Drive. This year we broke our record with over 500 coats donated to Angels in the Outfield.Todd Duwe, Vice President and Partner, presents the annual Perlo Cost Trends Report to SIOR members.Perlo members of CREW attend the CREW Forecast Breakfast and cheer on Elissa Looney, Director of Operations, as she received the Industry Influencer Award. Jim Hill, Field Safety Coordinator, and Travis Schmitz, SPG Superintendent, pose together at our Field Appreciation Day!This summer, we held our first Perlo Foreman Golf Tournament which was a great opportunity to thank our incredible foremen for all the hard work they do with a fun afternoon of golf.Members of the Gensco Salem team take a moment to discuss industry safety and teamwork during Construction Safety Week.We love Halloween here, and always have fun during our annual costume contest.One of our project teams come together for some silly photobooth fun at our recent holiday party.This year we celebrated Superintendent Jay Edgar as he retired from the industry after over 40 years with Perlo.SPG Superintendent Brent Schmitz leads a tour of an industrial tenant improvement for Project Manager Jean Rwandika and one of our summer interns.Several Perlo project managers, and members of our partner company R&J, took a Lean Construction workshop to better hone their skills.The project and field safety team on our Sewell project in Hillsboro welcome over 100 people to the site during the NAIOP Bus Tour.The Perlo team holds their heads high after taking not one, but two awards home during the Night of Excellence.This year, we visited several schools on the West Coast and Texas, from high schools to colleges, to discuss opportunities for young people in the industry and at Perlo.Perlo officially acquired the century old Reimers & Jolivette Construction this year, marking an exciting partnership for the Pacific Northwest.The tilt crew at our Rock Creek project in Tualatin, OR gather to discuss safety and proper procedures before beginning the day.AP Specialist Mia Doyle and Senior Accounting Manager Elizabeth Howard welcome our subcontractors to our yearly Trade Partners Appreciation Breakfast.Field Safety Coordinator Tony Harbison and Warehouse Manager Marty Bursell help hand out turkeys to field and office staff for Thanksgiving.Project Director Drew Carter and President Chris Gregg face off to see whose team with start at our festive Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl. Teams made up of office and field staff battle it out on the flag football field to see who gets to take home bragging rights.This March, we thanked all our amazing employees for their hard work and dedication which helped to make 2023 one of the best years in Perlo history.
